It’s time to take your business to the next level.
We know what it’s like to be a woman entrepreneur.
We get that it’s personal.
But first, know your power. Your business matters.
The UME Connect Workshop is a 7-week program designed for early-stage women entrepreneurs. Our team of branding and business experts teach the brand, business, and leadership essentials required to launch and grow your business. Show up. Do the work. Make moves. Help more women rise.
DID YOU KNOW
Women start companies 2.5x the national average but revenues account for less than 5%.* It’s clear that women entrepreneurs have the drive and talent, but need more resources to help them take their businesses to the next level.

What You'll Get
We know you’re starting a business to make a difference. Learn how to integrate your personal values and establish a strong brand foundation for lasting positive impact. This is the starting point for success.
There’s no point if your brand looks awesome but your finances don’t. We’ll show you the difference between various income statements, and work on a financial projection and plan together.
Connect with fellow women entrepreneurs in-person and online through our private Slack group. Share your expertise and ask for what you need.
Connecting with your consumer is a given. But what’s the brand voice? How can you use social media in a thoughtful way? We’ll break it down so everything always feels true.
The gender confidence gap is real and what sets us behind. We practice transforming those insecurities into opportunities and realizing that no one can do this like you. No one!

As early-stage entrepreneurs, we realize optimizing your time and budgets is essential. We've continuously crafted and fine-tuned our program to provide the best value. Here's what you'll have at the end of the program.
Brand Strategy Deck: An articulation of the core fundamentals to strategically build and market your brand. As you move forwards, this deck will guide your brand’s look, tone, and feel. You’ll identify who your audience is, how to communicate with them, and how to position your business in the market.
Social Strategy: An effective content calendar that tells the story you want to share, building your community and connecting with your audience.
Financial Tools: An understanding of how to create a budget and do financial projections for your business.
Action Plan: A 30/60/90 day action plan to help you move forwards.
Community: An alumni Slack group as an on-going resource.
Headshots: 2 professional portraits shot by Armando Rafael Photography. (Every founder needs a good headshot.)
Do I have to show up for all 7 weeks?
YES. Practice makes progress. Accountability drives serious action.
What stage do I need to be in with my company in order to join?
We recommend between 0-3 years
How do I know if this is right for me?
We realize there are a lot of workshops out there and one size does not fit all. If this sounds like you, we'd love to have you apply.
You’re looking to create something meaningful and intend for your business to be of service to others. You want to move the world forwards or change the conversation in some way.
You’re willing to put in the work. The sessions and take-home work can be intense. The more energy and time you invest during the 7 weeks, the more you’ll walk away with.
You have a marketing problem. You’re looking to refine your brand or you feel your brand isn’t communicating or relating to your audience in the way it needs to.
You want to build your business alongside 5 other women entrepreneurs. This workshop is grounded in community and the growth that comes from connecting face-to-face and contributing.
Where is my money going?
50% of the program cost will to go towards the HER Global Zine Project, allowing us to provide programming and house the HER Scholarship fund. Every year, the UME team partners with a girls’ education NGO in developing countries and the US to design and facilitate a week-long leadership program for girls. Over the past three years, we’ve worked with girls in Malawi, Cambodia, and Nepal.
The HER Scholarship fund sponsors young women who have the potential to become future leaders in developing countries through university. We will provide a breakdown of where and who your money is going towards, and provide relevant updates.
